sometimes wink at me give me stares, baby this time, what you doing here!!! yes they love me. but never did they fade away i crossed the countries celebrated my birthdays they still are there like a godfather standing by me “
i was around 5 yrs old when i had first thought about stars.i asked my aunt,”mammi ji, mamma kitthe gaye?” and she kissed me and pointed straight above …”oooo upper ….oo taareyan kol bacche”. i knew what it meant but did not know that she actually went there.i believed her till our science teacher told the concept of stars in primary school.but i never accepted that because till that time i had already made a special bonding with them.
during summer holidays we would visit our grandparents in punjab.i always loved that place.a small village surrounded by paddy/sun flower fields.we would make our beds outside in the open hall(its called Beda in punjabi).cool breeze with the sweet smell of wet earth (watered fields) would make the atmosphere just to dream for.i would lie there on my bed with my beeji(grand mother) and talk about stars.and if i am with dad then he would show me the rockets, planets. i would keep gazing at them as if i wanted some answers to my questions like who are you,do you talk, why dont you fall,is there a heaven, does god sit next to you,are there any fairies, why dont you move n yes , is mom there?.
i talk to them when alone.if i’d get scolding from parents or nobody would listen to me ,i would go out , justify my point to them, bit crying and then go back in peace or sometimes just watching them with amusement. in bangalore,i had to cut down as houses are built so close to each other that in a minute everybody would peep through their windows huh.no privacy i say but i had my times :).
i miss them now as from 5 days its been snowing and i havnt seen them since then. i know they are there for me.i want to spread my arms and give a BIG tight hug. sooon.

Awwww I totally understand the bond babe..reminded me of Munna Bhai (that scene where Munna and Circuit are drunk and talking about how dead people become stars..”Bombay mein bahut pollution hai na bhai” lol)
Hope you get to see the stars real soon..hugs and kisses:-)
